This week’s learning snapshot…

Reception

This week we have been learning about fire safety. We had a fantastic workshop with Mr Chris and the children were fabulous at using their asking questions learning tool to find out more about this topic. We can’t wait for our Thames River Trip on Monday!

Year 1

We’ve been ‘walking on sunshine’ this week, making links to the similarities and differences between the four seasons of the year, we are very sure it’s Summer. We’ve been drinking lots of water and wearing our sunhats!

Year 2

In PSHE we have been collaborating and using our empathy tools to help us understand more about friendships. We have listened respectfully and have been kind and supportive to each other.

Year 3

We are delighted with our new class pets – stick insects!! We’ve used our asking questions tool to find out what they need to live a happy and healthy life.

Year 4

We have used our planning tool to plan and write a non-chronological report on the Ancient Egyptians. We have also finished our book “Letters From The Lighthouse” which we really loved!

Year 5

We have been using our collaboration tool to do some gardening, we worked together to identify different plants and also did some picking and some pruning! Lots of children decided that the broad beans were as nice as sweets!

Year 6

We have been using our empathy goggles to find out the history of Anne Frank. We’ve been working on our enterprise projects and will soon be able to let you know when you can buy our products, including slime!

Learning Reviews – 11th July & 13th July

You will receive your child’s End of Year Report on the 7th July, then have the opportunity to meet with your child’s Class Teacher to discuss their learning this year. Appointments will be available from 13:30 – 19:00 and can be booked via Schoolsbuddy.
