The Summer Festival
The Summer Festival was fabulous, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves! A huge thank you to Sarah and Leah (Friends Chairs) and all the Parent and Staff volunteers who collaborated so well to make the Festival a great community success!!
A special note of thanks goes to Mr Chris, the best Premises Officer in the whole world and his support team, Leanne and Dave who worked tirelessly to accommodate everyone’s needs!

Pedal My Wheels
Almost 50 bikes were donated and already the social enterprise has raised enough money to buy five bikes for the children to ride in Reception at busy time. There will be another bike sale next term where bikes priced from £10 will be available to purchase. Pedal my wheels have public sales throughout the year, check out their website for more details here.

School Streets
Thank you to the charity Mums for Lungs who organised and funded the School Street closure. Mums for Lungs wants to say: ‘thank you to all the children who came out last Friday on the School Street to do our quiz and play with the bubbles and bugles! We had such a great time with you and were really impressed by how much you all knew about clean air and children’s health!’
Summer Festival After Party!
On Thursday the children had a great time buying up all the donated toys and books left over from the Summer Festival.

Primary School Sports Day
On Tuesday Mr Sean and Miss Sinead, our brilliant Sports Coaches, organised the best Sports Day ever! We all agreed that this year’s location was ideal and everyone enjoyed taking part especially the Reception Parents who competed in a mad 100m dash!!
Miss Shaw organised a long-distance race for KS2 children and was delighted by how many children wanted to take part. Everyone persevered, running club children wore their custom-made shirts and came first, second and third in every race, their training definitely paid off!
Congratulations to all the children in Eagles House, they won the Sports Day by a huge margin (for the 6th year in a row!!).
Transition Day – Preparing for September
On Monday (and last Friday for Y4B) all the children were thrilled to meet their new Teacher and enjoyed a lesson in their new classroom.
We look forward to seeing everyone back in School on Wednesday 4 September, please chat to your children over the Summer about moving up and reassure them that we will all be on the playground the first day back if they have forgotten where to go!!
And enjoy the Summer Reading Challenge!!
Reminder: School finishes at 1pm on Wednesday, gates will open at 12:50pm.
