Thank you! It has been another successful year at Dulwich Wood, children and staff have achieved so much with the support of all our wonderful Parents and Carers. We would like to wish all our families a well-deserved break, have a wonderful Summer and, please encourage your child to do some Summer holiday home learning! The Autumn Term begins on Wed 6th Sep.
Autumn Term Clubs
After School Enrichment Clubs will be available to book via SchoolsBuddy, on Tue 5th Sep. The menu of what is available and when it will take place will be emailed to you in advance of this date.Â
Please note, that even though we have increased our offer, it is unlikely that children will be offered places in more than one club. You will be invited to select a first, second and third choice and we will do our best to meet one of your child’s choices.
Before and After School childcare can be booked from 31st July.
Holiday Home Learning
Summer Reading Challenge: we really hope you can support your children to take part in the Summer Reading Challenge taking place in all the libraries in London, this is a fantastic free way to encourage your child to read for pleasure and prizes!
We have heard that there will be a new library opening on the Kingswood Estate! More information here, where you can see the opening date is Mon 24th of Jul.

House Point Cup
Well done to Falcons for winning the House Point Cup this year!
Also, a huge thank you to all our House Captains and ambassadors who have worked hard throughout the year devising and supporting a range of fun and engaging activities which have raised money for the school and for our chosen charity ‘Choose Love’. We wish them luck next year at their Secondary Schools.
Running Club have a school kit sponsored by ‘Better Way’. Thank you so much to Andrew (Amelie’s Dad) for making that happen. Children from Year 3 to Year 6 will have the opportunity to apply for a running club space in September. The club meets every Wednesday at 7.40am!
Windrush Essay Competition: Well done Amandine! Mr Torrington, one of the Founding Members of the Windrush Trust, presented Amandine with her trophy in Assembly on Monday.
Friend’s Chair: We are also saying a big thank you and goodbye to Laura (Rocco’s Mum) for all the work she has done for the school over the last seven years. She has been the Chair of the Friends twice, led on Summer and Winter fairs, organised Quiz Nights for the Parents, Disco’s for the children and much much more. We wish her and her family all the very best for the future.
Deep Dish Volley Ball: Year 5 had a taster session at Deep Dish Volley Ball at the beginning of this term and loved it, playing volley ball on the sand. If this is something your child would like to do have a look at their summer holiday activities on their website.
