Our team
All our staff use the Early Years Foundation Stage EYFS (characteristics of effective learning, prime and specific areas of learning and development) to plan learning experiences based on children’s individual interests.
Staff members
At Dulwich Wood Nursery we have a well-trained, highly experienced staff team, including three qualified teachers and skilled early years practitioners. Our staff are our most important resource in supporting children and families.
Each Nursery classroom team is led by a qualified teacher who leads on approach. All key people have a minimum level 3 qualification and most have a BA degree.
Key people
Every child at nursery has a special person called a key person. They ensure that your child’s emotional and developmental needs are being met. They record your child’s achievements in their learning journey book and track their progress in The Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
Vacancies
Dulwich Wood Nursery is a fantastic place to work – just ask our teachers! When you join our team you become part of a strong network of committed and passionate professionals.
As a school we are committed to safeguarding. All applicants will be required to make an enhanced disclosure via the DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service).
We are currently recruiting for an Early Years Educator. Please see the links below:
Partnership with parents
As a parent at Dulwich Wood, you will be invited to join us on trips, attend a range of social events, take part in parent workshops and be actively engaged in your child’s education.
There are many ways that you can get involved with the nursery community. Here are a few ideas:
- Sharing a special skill with us. e.g. playing a musical instrument or cooking
- Bringing resources for our creative area
- Helping out with growing vegetables or woodwork
- Joining Dulwich Wood Friends
- Accompanying us to Sydenham Woods for a Forest School session
- Attending a parent workshop
- Attending an event such as Sports Day or our Eid Breakfast Celebration
We would love your support. Please talk to your child’s key person about how you can be involved.
We are always interested in feedback from parents, to help us know how well we are doing and how we need to improve.
