Our Learning Journey – Together Again

It is wonderful to see all the children coming into school ready to learn! Our first full week together has gone smoothly with lots of new routines and establishing the new normal for Dulwich Wood. So far, we have had a virtual Singing Assembly, a socially distanced Sorting Ceremony and a chance to sing our school song. Our staggered lunchtimes are working well, and the children are all enjoying the new chill out areas including the Friendship benches (thank you Friends of Dulwich Wood!).

From next week we will be resuming clubs – Emu Club and some extracurricular music clubs will be available.

Thank you for the incredible support that we are receiving from the school community, we are so impressed with how well all the children and parents have adapted to all the changes.

Next Week’s Dinner Menu

Dulwich Wood Dinner Menu | from 14 September

Just to confirm we that we have a pork free menu. During lockdown ham sandwiches were a very popular option with our families, and we did offer ham sandwiches or cheese sandwiches last Friday. Now that we have resumed our hot meals there will not be any pork products on the menu.

Water Bottles: Please remember to bring back your water bottle every Monday.

Home Learning

Please continue to read daily with your child, it’s one of the most beneficial things that you can do to support your child’s learning. We won’t be sending home any formal home learning this half term. We would like children to be happy and settle back into the school routine. We will be sending home reading books over the coming weeks. More information to follow.
