Dear Parents/Carers and Children,
We have now completed four weeks of Remote Learning; which we know has been challenging for children, teachers and parents. It’s not the same as learning together at school, but it has been clear that the Dulwich Wood Community have been using their ‘Perseverance Tool’ and their ‘Making Links Tool’ to make the most of each and every day. I have been so impressed with the learning that children are uploading to Tapestry, and the participation in the Zoom live lessons. Well done Dulwich Wood!

Whole School Zoom Assemblies
Please join our weekly Singing Assembly on Thursday @ 2:15pm and our weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday @2:15pm. We would love to see as many people as possible joining the Whole School Assemblies. The link has been sent to all parents.
Learning Reviews via Zoom – Monday 22nd February
We will still be holding Learning Reviews on Monday 22nd February to give you the opportunity to discuss your child’s learning with their Class Teacher. This is an INSET Day so there won’t be any remote learning uploaded to Tapestry on this day. You will be able to book your appointment via Schools Buddy from Monday 8th Feb.
Zoom Agreement
Please read the Zoom Agreement attached to the Newsletter this week. It is important that we keep everyone safe, therefore if you aren’t following this guidance you will be removed from the Zoom live lessons.
Laptops
If you still require a laptop to help with remote learning please email the office. (office@dulwichwood.com)
Food Hampers
As I am sure you have seen in the media Chartwells have improved their ‘Free School Meals’ weekly hamper offer to include breakfast goods as well. Every child in Southwark, regardless of their financial situation, is entitled to a free lunch, if you would like a hamper please order by 10am Monday morning and collect after 11am on a Thursday.
Please note: Children in school or those receiving free school meal vouchers are however exempt from this offer.
Children’s Mental Health Week 1st Feb – 7th Feb
We will be supporting this by encouraging everyone to explore different ways to express themselves. We will be thinking of creative ways to share our feelings, our thoughts and our ideas. Check out Mindful Monday on Tapestry for all the details and fun things to try.
We will be celebrating our achievements together in next Friday’s Celebration Assembly by wearing ‘Dress to Express’ outfits! We can’t wait to see what you will all be wearing!
