Lola’s brother Charlie, renames the food in really imaginative ways to make food more appealing for Lola. Charlie wrote to us asking for more ideas to entice his fussy little sister to try more food. The children have been fabulous at using their imagining and making links tools to come up with some great new names and exciting origins for different food items (e.g., a beetroot has become a ’spinning top from Saturn’) which they then used for writing lovely letters of advice to Lola, encouraging her to try them.

Year 1 have enjoyed learning all about different materials and their properties in Science. The children used their collaboration tool to group a variety of objects based on their properties.
