{"id":200,"date":"2019-08-04T18:50:02","date_gmt":"2019-08-04T17:50:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dulwichwood.com\/primary-beta\/?page_id=200"},"modified":"2026-09-24T11:41:19","modified_gmt":"2026-09-24T10:41:19","slug":"times-clubs","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.dulwichwood.com\/primary\/our-calendar\/times-clubs\/","title":{"rendered":"Times &#038; Clubs"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"name\" data-wfid=\"1c9cc1d85b46\">School times<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Start of Day<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gates open at 8:35am &amp; close at <strong>8:50am<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reception will enter via their gates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4, Y5 &amp; Y6 will enter by main gate on Bowen Drive<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Parents will not enter the playground unless they need to speak to the office<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Parents \/ Carers will continue to say goodbye outside the gates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Senior leaders will continue to be at the front gates at the beginning of the day should you need to speak to anyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the morning parents will continue to leave their children at the gates to ensure a swift and purposeful start to the school day. Teachers plan early morning work from 8.35am so we would strongly encourage parents to get their children here for 8.35am so they maximise their learning time. Often Teachers work one to one with children during this time, giving them feedback and next steps or helping them with misconceptions from the previous days learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your child is late you must register at the office.&nbsp;Thank you for your support in ensuring that children arrive on time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:3em\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">End of Day<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reception<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reception will finish at 3:20pm from the classroom door<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Parents will be allowed onto the playground at 3:15pm<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Year 1, Year 2 &amp; Year 3<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Year 1 will finish at 3:20pm, children will be collected from the Year 1 Garden Gate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Year 2 will finish at 3:20pm, children will be collected from the undercover area by the main office<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Year 3 will finish at 3:20pm, children will be collected from the chill out zone in bottom playground<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A member of Senior Leadership Team will be at the front gate every day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Parents will be allowed onto the playground at 3:15pm<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Year 4, Year 5 &amp; Year 6<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Year 4, Year 5 &amp; Year 6 will finish at 3:20pm, children will leave by the main gate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please see the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dulwichwood.com\/primary\/our-school\/map-of-school-and-grounds\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"2795\">Map<\/a> which shows where and when each year group should be dropped off and picked up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a style=\"padding: 1em; background-color: #619645; color: #ffffff; text-align: center; width: 100%;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dulwichwood.com\/primary\/our-calendar\/\" class=\"ek-link\">Term times and holiday dates<\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:5em\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"clubs\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"name\" data-wfid=\"2971f12ae759\">Clubs<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"name\" data-wfid=\"2971f12ae759\">Emu Club &#8211; Breakfast &amp; After School Club<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Emu Club is Dulwich Wood Primary School\u2019s Breakfast and After School Club for parents\/carers who need<br>the convenience of wrap-around care for their children. The team at Emu Club offer care from 07.30-08.50<br>and from 15.20-18.00 Monday-Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Club has 80 places and is based in the Reception area and Upper Hall of the Primary School with direct access via the main Bowen Drive School entrance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Session Options<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As well as organised activities including arts and crafts, sports and games, the children get a healthy<br>breakfast in the morning (which is served up until 08.15) and a light \u2018tea\u2019 in the afternoon session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your child attends an Extra Curricular Club after school, a member of staff will escort them to and from<br>the activity to Emu Club at 16.30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pricing for Emu Club<br><br><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td>BREAKFAST CLUB (07.30 \u2013 08.35)<\/td><td>\u00a35.00 per session<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>AFTER SCHOOL CLUB (15.20 \u2013 18.00)<\/td><td>\u00a312.00 per session<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Booking<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All bookings must be made and paid for <strong>7 WORKING DAYS<\/strong> in advance on SchoolsBuddy. If you would like<br>to pay using Childcare Vouchers, please contact the School Office before booking online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you require an invoice for Universal Credit please email the office and allow 10 working days for the invoice to be ready (please note we only provide invoice once half termly so please book all sessions required for the half term before requesting an invoice).<br><br><strong>Premium Bookings:<\/strong> We have a limited number of emergency spaces that can be booked with less than 7 working days\u2019 notice, up until 13.00 on the day required. These bookings are charged at a premium rate of \u00a310 for Breakfast Club and \u00a320.00 for After School Club.<br><br><strong>Please note \u2013 Emu Club is very popular and spaces are limited.<\/strong> If your child attends Emu Club and has not been pre-booked, a charge of \u00a31 per minute will be made for them to stay at the Club until you are able to collect them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Cancellation of Club Use<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note that both Breakfast Club and After School Club bookings are&nbsp;<strong>NON-REFUNDABLE<\/strong> and <strong>NON-TRANSFERABLE<\/strong>. Please ensure that you select the correct dates when making a booking online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Dropping Off and Picking Up<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In order to safeguard your child(ren), we ask that you accompany them to Breakfast Club and sign them<br>in with a member of Emu Club staff. Please do not leave them at the main school gate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please use the main school gate on Bowen Drive to collect your child(ren) from Emu Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If someone else will be picking your child(ren), please let the School Office know before the end of the school day.<br>You will need to give the person collecting your child(ren) the password you confirmed with School when your child(ren) enrolled. The person picking up your child(ren) MUST be over 16 years old.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Lateness<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are running late to pick up your child(ren), please inform Emu Club immediately. If you call the School<br>after 16.30, please ring 07384 721876 (Emu Club mobile).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A fee of \u00a31 per minute will be charged for any collection from Emu Club after 6pm.<\/strong> Continuous lateness will result in your child(ren) not being able to use the Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If there has been no phone call or explanation by 18.30, one of the School\u2019s safeguarding officers will be<br>informed and they will contact MASH (the Multi-Agency and Safeguarding Hub at Southwark Council).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Medical<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your child has any medical needs or requires specific equipment (e.g.&nbsp; Epi-pen or an asthma inhaler),<br>it is the parents\u2019\/carers\u2019 responsibility to ensure that this is in-date and has been handed into the<br>School Office. It must be on site at all times when the child is attending the Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Other Absence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the event your child is unable to attend their session, you will still be charged (unless this has been agreed in advance with School).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>School Closure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Emu Club will be open during normal term time except if the School is closed for a half-day at the end of term.<br>In the event of an emergency closure of the School, all parents \/ carers will be notified via a text message.<br>Please ensure we have your up-to-date mobile number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Behaviour<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Children are expected to behave in the same way at Emu Club as they do during the rest of the school day.<br>Emu Club staff use the same behaviour policy as school staff and will always give children the opportunity<br>to make good behaviour choices. If children are persistently unable to do this, parents\/carers will be notified<br>and this may lead to cancellation of usage (please refer to our Parent-Carer Communication Policy).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Grievances<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Should you have any problems regarding Emu Club, please notify a member of the Emu Club staff.
