Post Title: Community Family Worker- Camberwell and Dulwich Locality


Grade: Hay Grade 7 – Scale 14 – 25 (£32,700 – £38,769)

We are recruiting for someone who has experience working with families and their children to join our Family Services Team. This team delivers universal and targeted activities with children and families, as well as engaging in 1:1 casework with families with complex needs. The Family Star assessment and action planning tool has been implemented within Southwark as well as mosaic system, which the successful candidates will be trained in using this with families.

This is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals with a proven track record of ensuring positive outcomes for children and families to contribute to the high quality and valuable
targeted support we provide.


We are looking for outstanding candidates who:
• Have the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with children and adults
• Have experience of working with families with complex needs, employing evidence based practice to effect positive outcomes
• Can demonstrate an excellent understanding of child development and how this will be implemented in practice
• Can take a collaborative approach to multi-agency partnerships so that children and families needs are met in a holistic way
• Has the ability to stay calm under pressure and employ good organisational and time management skills
• Is committed to improving the lives of children and their families so they are safe and are able to thrive
• Has a minimum relevant level 3 qualification and 1 year post qualifying experience
