Parent Outreach Worker 

Grade: Hay Grade 6 (£30,309 – £33,717)

36 hours – All Year Round – One-year fixed term, with the potential to renew

Locations:

Peckham, Peckham Rye & Nunhead Children & Family Centres
Camberwell & Dulwich Wood Family Hub

What we are looking for?

  • Experience in delivering activities for groups of parents and children
  • Capable of reaching a wide range of groups within a community. Familiar with engaging people from every ethnic and cultural group.
  • Building effective relationships with parents of children under 5 by actively promoting Children & Family Centres & Family Hubs services to local residents.
  • Encourage families’ participation in service design, development, delivery and evaluation,
  • Delivery of a peer network from a range of community venues at times and places that extend beyond normal operating hours of services.
  • Ensure that services continue to meet the needs of an evolving and diverse community.
  • Great organisational skills, as you arrange high profile consultations and other events.
  • Produce verbal and written reports on activities with parents, feedback on parents’ views, and advice on involving parents/carers effectively in the Centre
  • Experience in recording, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Able to advice parents to support their child’s development, promoting learning through play and encouraging them to take up Early Years provision
