We have become a very sporty school without really trying, sometimes trouncing the opposition at sports we have never played before and having only read the rule book on the train enroute to the event! This is testament to our naturally athletic pupils and their amazing team spirit! We have invested in Sports this year and we expect even great things from our teams in 2017 – 18.
KEY STAGE TWO CHALLENGE BURGESS PARK
We had a wonderful (hot) day at the KS2 challenge day in Burgess park.
We worked well together and remained positive despite the heat. We came third overall.
ROUNDERS COMPETITION AT DULWICH PARK
We played well and came third overall.
We had a very enjoyable day and remembered the skills we had practised in school.
ATHLETICS FESTIVAL AT DULWICH COLLEGE
We competed against some very experienced teams and, although we came 9th overall, we kept smiling !
Our Y5 scored scored 122 points and Y3 won 114 points – well done to everyone.
The netball team are having a great season and have been practising every week with one of our meal supervisors (Edina) who is also an experienced coach.
Thanks to their hard work, we have performed well so far winning lots of matches across Southwark.

We went on to play in the Quarter Finals of the Southwark Cup.
We had a lovely day in July on the Mary Datchelor Sports field with over 70 events to thrill the crowds and test the athletes. The house war cries rang out winning extra points to add to the totals with a particularly pertinent one from Hawks on the perils of wearing vests on hot days – sound advice! Congratulations to Eagles who won the cup and now have their blue ribbons proudly displayed for the next 12 months.
