Casual Workers (all year round) Please note. This is a Casual Contract of Employment. The services will be provided by you at the times and dates agreed with the Children’s Centre and may vary according to the Centre’s requirements.
Salary Range: £21,610 – £23,211 FTE (Hay Grade 3) Fixed Term
Bermondsey & Rotherhithe
1 x Early Years Practitioner (Level 3) all year round, 27.5 hours (Mon – Fri 9:30am to 3:30pm)
Salary Range: £24,486 – £27,744 FTE (Hay Grade 6) Fixed Term
Early Years Assistants (Level 2) all year round, 16 hours – flexible working
Mornings + staff meeting (either Friday afternoon or Wednesday afternoon)
Salary Range: £22,398 – £24,486 Fixed Term

Both Bermondsey & Rotherhithe and Camberwell & Dulwich Children and Family Centres provide services for children under 5 years old and their families. Your role will be to work with other early year’s team members to plan, implement and deliver a range of high quality innovative opportunities for young children and families to develop and foster their learning and creativity. With a sound understanding of Safeguarding and the EYFS all members of the team are committed to providing a high quality service to delivery school readiness, parenting and aspirations and child development. In addition we expect all members of the team to develop and maintain effective working partnerships with all stake holders which include parents, Health Services and Early Help Practitioners.

Applicants for casual work would preferably hold a level 2 or 3 in NVQ Childcare or equivalent, although this is not essential. Applicants for Early Years practitioner would hold a level 3 in NVQ Childcare or equivalent.
You must have:
– Experience of working with children under 5 years (paid or unpaid)
– A keen interest in early learning and early childhood development.
– Knowledge of basic Health and Safety & First Aid
– Good communication skills
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team

The successful candidate must demonstrate that they are fully committed to our safeguarding policies and procedures.
